How to Batch Processing to Remove Security?

Return KB main page

Question

I have over 5,000 documents on which I want to remove security so that I can add a watermark and then re-secure the documents. I have a way to use batch processing to secure the documents, however I am unable to find a way to use batch processing to remove the security. Creating security is done through the Document / Security / Restrict Opening and Editing menu and Batch Processing handles this just fine. Removing security is accomplished via the File / Document Properties / Security Settings menu and batch processing doesn't know how to do that ( I think)!!!. Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I missing something here? Any ideal?
