Question

Is there any tool helping to extract data from PDF content for renaming files with ease?

Solution

You can use A-PDF Rename (free download here) to rename by extracting data from PDF files with follow steps:
  1. Add PDF Documents: select "File->Add PDF Document" or "File->Add Folder", you can even drag files to the list directly;
  2. Choose "Macro->Content Tag Macro..." to enter into Content Tag edit interface;
  3. Add PDF file, choose data you want to use as Macro then right-click and select "Get content by Position/ Keyword", then "Save";
  4. Choose "Rename Filename->Macro" as you edited macro;
  5. Click "Rename" to rename PDF files based on content.
